Description

Tamiya 1/10 RC Car Kit TC-01 | Mercedes-Benz CLK 1997

This Tamiya RC car model kit recreates the legendary Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR race car that achieved six victories in the 1997 FIA GT Championship. The model features a realistic polycarbonate body with an aerodynamic shape that matches the original. Specially added details - a nose badge, A-pillar mounted wing mirrors, rear spoiler and rear wing - give the car an authentic racing look. The included sticker sheet allows you to apply the exact same racing design that made the car a legend.

TC-01 chassis - low-profile racing technology.

Based on a durable composite monocoque frame, the TC-01 chassis is equipped with a shaft-driven 4WD system, where a mid-mounted motor transmits power through the front and rear shafts. Oil-filled differentials and independent double wishbone suspension with inboard shock absorbers ensure excellent handling and compatibility with low-profile bodies. Thanks to spacers, camber, toe angle and skid angle can be easily adjusted. The chassis is also service-friendly – all wishbones, both upper and lower, are identical at each corner, making spare parts easy and quick to use.

The box includes:

  • Unassembled TC-01 chassis
  • Mercedes CLK 1997 transparent lexan body (needs to be painted)
  • Wheels suitable for the model
  • 24T Pinion

Additional items required for driving:

  • 540 size motor
  • ESC suitable for the motor
  • 2 Channel radio transmitter
  • Steering servo
  • Paints for painting the body
