JConcepts brings this legendary era to the RC world with a 1970 Chevy-style body, designed especially for scale model and crawler enthusiasts. This body fits chassis with a 12.3-inch wheelbase and features a classic boxy design reminiscent of the days when a full box meant a good day's work.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, American automakers decided that work trucks no longer had to look like just "work trucks." Chevrolet was one of the leaders of this change. The result was pickup trucks that were still durable and practical, but at the same time had an eye-catching appearance and a more comfortable interior. This was an era where hard work and good design went hand in hand.

The character of the 1970 model lies primarily in the powerful front grille, the headlight solution and the layered and sculptural tailgate with a detailed light section. All of these elements are included on a rich sticker sheet that allows the body to be finished in several different, period-accurate styles. The front end is sharp, slightly swept back, and the rounded wheel arches with a raised edge are perfect for a variety of RC tires, including larger off-road tires.

The hood has straight and powerful surfaces, emphasized by a central ridge line. The design of the cab and windshield is one of the key elements of the body - the so-called “cap”-style roof, strong edges and sun visor-like front create a recognizable and robust appearance. Classic side windows with vent window details add authenticity. The body lines of the box section follow the original Chevy design, and the slight recess in the rear is ideal for installing body pillars or accessories.

The front and rear bumpers are molded directly into the body, giving a clean and strong look without separate details. The horizontal sidelights characteristic of the 1970 model are also present on the decal sheet. Large wheel arches ensure good ground clearance and maximum suspension performance, although additional cutting of the arches may be necessary when using especially large tires.

From 1967 to 1972, the Chevrolet and GMC model range had several different looks. JConcepts has taken this into account and added four different front grille options to the decal sheet. You can choose between single or dual-light solutions, including versions with both bar and tube grilles. In addition, a diverse selection of emblems and markings, such as Cheyenne, Custom, C/10, C/20 and CST/10, is included to create a period look that suits you.
