In 1989, Audi shocked the American IMSA GTO racing series with the incredible Audi 90 quattro Racing. Powered by a turbocharged 2.2-liter five-cylinder engine producing over 700 horsepower and utilizing Audi’s renowned quattro all-wheel-drive system, it became one of the most advanced touring race cars of its era. While based loosely on the Audi 90 sedan, the racing version featured an aggressive wide body, massive aerodynamic components, and race-bred engineering throughout. Tamiya faithfully recreates this motorsport icon in 1:10 scale, complete with detailed bodywork, racing graphics, and the versatile TT-02 chassis.

Interesting Fact
The Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO was one of the most powerful all-wheel-drive touring cars ever built. In qualifying trim, the turbocharged five-cylinder engine produced more than 700 horsepower, while its quattro drivetrain provided exceptional traction and acceleration. Much of its technology was derived from the legendary Audi Sport quattro S1 Pikes Peak race car.

Recommended Battery
