Team Associated A550 Rally Car – Group B Style with 4WD Performance

Team Associated A550 Rally Car is a 1:10 scale 4WD RTR rally car that combines styling inspired by the legendary Group B era with the proven Apex2 Sport chassis. The detailed four-color polycarbonate body, white turbine-style wheels and rally tread tires give the model a distinctive classic competition look.

The Apex2 Sport chassis uses independent A-arm suspension front and rear with coil-over shocks to help the car stay composed on uneven asphalt and similar surfaces. One of the more interesting features is the Active Rear Toe suspension system, which changes rear toe angle as the suspension moves and helps improve rear-end grip and handling characteristics.

The full-time 4WD drivetrain provides stable handling and strong traction, while the enclosed center drivetrain helps keep dirt and debris away from moving components. Sealed front and rear gear differentials, steel dogbones and steel drive axles add durability for regular use.

Power comes from a Reedy 550 15T 3-slot brushed motor, controlled by a programmable Reedy SC500X brushed ESC with a T-Plug battery connector. The model comes fully assembled as an RTR package with the radio system, steering servo, ESC and receiver already installed. A suitable battery and charger are required separately.

The A550 body also includes plenty of realistic details such as separate mirrors, windshield wipers, auxiliary lights, spoiler, headlight details and exhaust. White 1.9″ turbine-style wheels with block-pattern rally tires complete the classic Group B-inspired appearance.
