Korduvad küsimused & vastused

1) Kaitsab chassis-pinda kruvi/mutri kraapidest. 2) Jaotab koormuse laiemale pinnale (vältida pragunemist). 3) Seadistamise jaoks (paksuse muutuse abil kohanda chassis-mõõtmeid).

Õhuke seib (tüüpiliselt 0.1-1mm) suspension’i seadistamiseks. Lisab või eemaldab millimeetri auto kõrgusele. Pro-võistlejad kasutavad shim-komplekte (0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 1mm) täppi-seadistamiseks.

Pole kohustuslik — kuid soovitatav suspension’i ja kõrgemate koormuste kohtades (drive-shafts, shock-towers). Vältida pragunemist chassis-plastil.

Plast: kergem, ei kraapi pehmemaid pindu, kasulik shim’iks. Metall: vastupidavam, sobib koormuse jaotamiseks. Vali vastavalt rakendusele.

Pole funktsionaalselt vajalik — pure kosmeetika. Värvilised aluminium seibid (sinine, punane) sobivad chassis’e täiendusele. Tavaline metall on samuti hea.
