The Kyosho Mini-Z RWD Mazda 787B No.18 LM 1991 combines one of Japan’s most iconic endurance racing cars with the latest-generation MR-04 rear-wheel-drive chassis. As part of the Kyosho Mini-Z RWD range, this compact RC car is designed for precise on-road handling and exciting indoor racing.

The highly detailed body recreates the Mazda 787B No.18 that competed at the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans. While the famous No.55 Mazda claimed overall victory and made Mazda the first Japanese manufacturer to win Le Mans, the No.18 works car also completed an impressive race and finished sixth overall. Its distinctive Mazda racing livery makes this Mini-Z particularly attractive both on the track and in a collection.

Under the body is Kyosho’s MR-04W-LM rear-wheel-drive chassis with a long 102 mm wheelbase. Compared with the previous MR-03 generation, the MR-04 features a lower centre of gravity, revised steering geometry and improved front suspension for sharper and more linear handling.

The batteries are positioned lower in the chassis to improve cornering stability, while the redesigned front suspension maintains better tyre contact through turns. A geared differential provides smooth cornering and the full ball-bearing drivetrain helps reduce rotational resistance.

The rear suspension uses a T-bar system together with a coil spring damper to absorb surface irregularities and maintain stability. The standard damper can also be upgraded with optional Mini-Z racing components.

Power comes from a user-friendly 130-class brushed motor, providing genuine hobby-grade performance while remaining easy to control. The chassis is compatible with the optional MZW711 gyro unit, allowing electronic steering assistance to be added and adjusted directly from the chassis.

The included Syncro KT-531P 2.4GHz transmitter features steering and throttle trim, steering dual rate and Training Mode. Training Mode reduces vehicle speed and makes the car easier to control while learning.

Please note that the Mazda 787B No.18 body is not compatible with the MZW429R LED light unit.

This model is supplied as a Readyset with the factory-assembled chassis, fully painted and marked Mazda 787B body and transmitter. Simply add the required AAA batteries to start driving.
