The Kyosho Mini-Z RWD Sauber Mercedes C9 No.61 brings the unmistakable shape of a legendary Group C prototype to the latest-generation MR-04 platform. As part of the Kyosho Mini-Z RWD range, this compact RC car combines highly detailed scale styling with precise rear-wheel-drive handling for indoor driving and Mini-Z racing.

The factory-finished body recreates the Sauber Mercedes C9 No.61 LM 1988 with its distinctive low-profile Group C shape, long-tail aerodynamics and detailed racing livery. The C9 was developed as a Mercedes-Benz works racing prototype and became one of the most recognisable endurance racing cars of its era.

Under the body is Kyosho’s MR-04W-LM rear-wheel-drive chassis with a long 102 mm wheelbase. Compared with the previous MR-03 generation, the MR-04 positions the batteries lower in the chassis to reduce the centre of gravity, while revised steering geometry and Suspension Parts 2.0 improve stability and steering response at higher speeds.

The front suspension dynamically changes camber through its movement to help maintain optimum tyre contact while cornering. At the rear, a T-bar suspension system works together with a coil spring damper to absorb surface irregularities and maintain stable handling.

A geared differential provides smooth cornering, while ball bearings are fitted throughout the drivetrain to minimise rotational resistance. The standard 130-class brushed motor delivers responsive and manageable performance suitable for both newcomers and experienced Mini-Z drivers.

The chassis is compatible with the optional MZW711 gyro unit, which adds electronic steering assistance for greater stability. Gyro sensitivity can be adjusted directly on the chassis to suit the track and driver’s preference.

The included Syncro KT-531P 2.4GHz transmitter features steering and throttle trim, steering dual rate and Training Mode. Training Mode reduces vehicle speed, making the Mini-Z easier to control while learning.

Please note that the Sauber Mercedes C9 body is not compatible with the MZW429R LED light unit.

This Readyset includes the factory-assembled chassis, fully painted and marked Sauber Mercedes C9 No.61 body and Syncro KT-531P transmitter. Simply add the required AAA batteries to start driving.
