Flush them with a bearing-safe cleaner to remove old grit and oil, dry them fully, then re-oil before refitting.

A thin bearing oil so they spin freely. Grease is too thick for bearings and would slow them down.

A bearing puller helps remove tight bearings without damage, but many jobs need only care and a clean workspace.
