      Almost any calm water works: a lake, pond or slow river. Keep clear of swimmers, busy areas and strong currents, and watch for weeds that can foul the propeller.

      What is the difference between a motor boat and a sailboat?

      A motor boat uses an electric motor for speed and instant throttle control. A sailboat has no motor and moves on wind alone, which is slower but more of a skill to master.

      What is the difference between brushed and brushless boats?

      Brushed motors are cheaper and simpler, good for casual runs. Brushless motors are faster, more efficient and last longer, but cost more and suit racing.

      How long does an RC boat run per charge?

      Most electric boats run about 10 to 20 minutes per charge, depending on battery size and how hard you drive. Keeping a spare battery pack ready doubles your time on the water.

      How do I look after my boat after sailing?

      Dry it off after every run, especially in salt water where a fresh-water rinse helps. Check the seals and hull, and store the battery at the right charge level.
