A nitro starter box spins the engine over to start it, the standard way to fire up 1/8 off-road nitro cars. Set the car on the box, press the button and the belt-driven wheels crank the engine. It saves your hands and starts a cold engine far more reliably than a pull start.Keep it charged and ready at the track. Find engines, fuel and plugs in nitro accessories.
For 1/8 off-road nitro cars, yes, most use one. Smaller cars and some engines have a pull start instead, so check what your engine uses.
Most run on a rechargeable battery pack inside the box. Keep it charged so you have reliable starts through a day at the track.
Check the glow plug, fuel and choke first. A weak battery in the box or a worn plug are the most common reasons an engine will not fire.
