      What is a nitro starter box?

      It is a powered box with belt-driven wheels that spin the engine flywheel to start it. You set the car on top and press a button to crank the engine.

      Do I need a starter box?

      For 1/8 off-road nitro cars, yes, most use one. Smaller cars and some engines have a pull start instead, so check what your engine uses.

      How do I power a starter box?

      Most run on a rechargeable battery pack inside the box. Keep it charged so you have reliable starts through a day at the track.

      Why won't my engine start on the box?

      Check the glow plug, fuel and choke first. A weak battery in the box or a worn plug are the most common reasons an engine will not fire.
