Lock nuts have a nylon insert or deformed thread that grips the bolt, so they resist working loose under the vibration of an RC car.

Match the nut thread to your screws, commonly M3 or M4. Check your car’s manual for the sizes it uses.

Steel is strong for high-load spots. Aluminium is lighter and colourful for low-stress areas, but softer, so keep it off critical joints.
