Yes, many multi-chemistry chargers handle LiPo, NiMH and more. Just select the correct chemistry and cell count for each pack before charging.

1C is a safe standard (for example 5A for a 5000mAh pack). Some packs allow faster charging, but slower is gentler and safer.

It keeps every cell at the same voltage. Unbalanced LiPo cells lose capacity and can become unsafe, so balance charging protects the pack.
