NiMH (nickel-metal hydride) is a rechargeable pack type. It is cheaper and more forgiving than LiPo, which makes it popular in ready-to-run and beginner cars.

LiPo is lighter and more powerful, NiMH is cheaper and easier to look after. For casual running NiMH is fine, for performance most drivers move to LiPo.

Use a NiMH-capable charger at the recommended rate. NiMH tolerates simple charging far better than LiPo, but a good charger still extends its life.

Store them cool and partly charged. NiMH self-discharges over time, so top them up before use if they have sat for a while.
