Batteries/Chargers

RC battery and charger range: LiPo and NiMH packs, chargers and accessories.

Frequent Questions & Answers
Which RC battery should I choose?

Match the cell count (voltage) to your car’s rated range, then pick capacity (mAh) for run time and a C-rating that supplies enough current. Most modern cars use LiPo.

What is the difference between LiPo and NiMH?

LiPo packs are lighter, hold more power and deliver higher current, which is why racers use them. NiMH is cheaper, more forgiving and needs less careful charging.

Do I need a special charger?

Yes. LiPo packs must be balance-charged on a LiPo-capable charger. Using the correct charger and settings is essential for safety and pack life.

How should I store RC batteries?

Store LiPo packs at storage voltage (around 3.8V per cell) in a cool place and a safe bag. Never leave them fully charged or fully flat for long periods.
