What does an ESC do?
The ESC controls how much power reaches the motor from the battery, giving throttle and braking. It also usually powers the receiver.
How do I choose the right ESC?
Match the motor type (brushless or brushed), the current rating to your motor’s demand, and the cell count to your battery.
Can a brushed ESC run a brushless motor?
No. Brushless motors need a brushless ESC, and brushed motors need a brushed ESC. The two are not interchangeable.
