What is an RC radio?
A radio system is the transmitter you hold and the receiver in the car. The transmitter sends your inputs, the receiver passes them to the ESC and servo.
Do transmitter and receiver have to match?
Yes, they must use the same protocol, usually the same brand. Some brands are cross-compatible, but always check before mixing.
How many channels do I need?
Two channels (steering and throttle) suit most cars. Extra channels drive lights, a second servo or other functions.
