Ready-to-run cars come built and ready to drive. Kits you build yourself, which teaches you the car and lets you tune it, but takes time and extra gear.

Electric is clean, quiet and easy, ideal for most drivers. Nitro uses a glow engine for a realistic sound and feel, but needs more setup and maintenance.

Ready-to-run cars usually include the electronics. Check whether a battery, charger and radio are included, as some need these bought separately.
