Description

The Absima X-Racer #10010 is a 1:24 scale rear-wheel-drive (2WD) RTR RC buggy, ideal as a first hobby-grade RC car and for driving at home, in the office or on smaller RC tracks. With a top speed of around 20 km/h and built-in ESP electronic stability control / gyro, the compact rear-wheel-drive buggy remains easy and enjoyable to control.

The X-Racer comes as an RTR package including the RC car, 2.4 GHz transmitter, removable 3.7 V 300 mAh LiPo battery and USB charging cable. You only need 2 × AA batteries for the transmitter.

Why Choose the Absima X-Racer Buggy?

  • 1:24 scale – compact enough for indoor RC driving
  • 2WD rear-wheel drive – simple, lightweight and fun to drive
  • ESP / gyro stabilisation – helps keep the car under control during acceleration and on slippery surfaces
  • Fully proportional steering and throttle – smooth acceleration, braking and steering
  • Top speed around 20 km/h
  • Adjustable maximum speed from the transmitter – ideal for beginners
  • 8520 coreless brushed motor
  • High-grip off-road buggy tyres
  • 2.4 GHz radio system – several cars can be driven at the same time
  • Removable LiPo battery – allows the use of a spare battery
  • RTR package – battery and USB charging cable included

ESP Stabilisation Makes the Buggy Easier to Control

The Absima X-Racer features an integrated Electronic Stability Program (ESP) which works similarly to a gyro commonly used in RC cars.

When the rear of the car begins to move sideways, the system detects the movement and automatically makes steering corrections to help keep the car travelling in the intended direction.

This is especially useful during hard acceleration or when driving on smoother surfaces and makes the rear-wheel-drive X-Racer easier to learn with.

A Small RC Buggy with Proper Proportional Controls

The X-Racer offers much more control than a typical toy-grade RC car. Fully proportional steering and throttle allow the driver to precisely control both speed and direction.

The maximum speed can also be reduced from the transmitter, making the car easier to handle while learning.

High-grip buggy tyres and 12 mm of ground clearance give the X-Racer more ability to deal with small surface irregularities than the touring version, although its compact 1:24 scale means it is still best suited to relatively smooth driving areas.

A living room, office, garage or small RC track can quickly become a miniature racing circuit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Absima X-Racer 10010 suitable for beginners?

Yes. The car features fully proportional steering and throttle, ESP stabilisation and adjustable maximum speed from the transmitter. The speed can therefore be reduced while learning.

Are the battery and charger included?

Yes. The package includes a removable 3.7 V 300 mAh LiPo battery and USB charging cable. You only need two AA batteries for the transmitter.

How fast is the Absima X-Racer Buggy?

According to Absima, the maximum speed is approximately 20 km/h. The maximum speed can also be reduced from the transmitter.

What does ESP / gyro do?

ESP is an electronic stability system. If the rear of the car starts to slide sideways, the system automatically makes steering corrections to help keep the vehicle travelling in the intended direction.

Can the X-Racer be driven outdoors?

Yes, it can be used on dry and relatively smooth outdoor surfaces. Because of its compact 1:24 scale and 12 mm ground clearance, it is not intended for long grass, deep gravel or very rough terrain.

Can several X-Racers be driven at the same time?

Yes. The 2.4 GHz radio system allows several cars to be driven in the same area at the same time.
