One of the Knightrunner’s key features is its IFS independent front suspension. Unlike a traditional solid-axle crawler, each front wheel moves independently, providing more realistic suspension movement, agile handling and the appearance of a modern full-size off-road vehicle. An aluminum steering rack and steering plates provide precise steering, while the front steering system allows up to 45 degrees of steering angle.

At the heart of the drivetrain is the innovative Stealth X transmission, which allows the front and rear drive ratios to be adjusted independently. The RTR comes factory-equipped with 5.7% front overdrive to improve steering and climbing performance. Gears for a more aggressive 11.83% overdrive setup are also included, while optional gears allow a conventional 1:1 front-to-rear ratio.

Power is supplied by a smooth and torque-focused Reedy Power 16T 5-slot brushed crawler motor, paired with the water-resistant Reedy SC480X electronic speed controller. Designed specifically for crawling, the ESC features proportional forward and reverse, LiPo low-voltage protection and a T-plug battery connector. A high-torque digital metal-gear steering servo and XP130 2.4GHz radio system complete the electronics package.

The two-piece polycarbonate Knightrunner body was created with scale and overland realism in mind. Injection-molded accessories include the grille, mirrors, door handles, wipers and snorkel. Officially licensed DeMello Off-Road bumpers, Front Runner bed rack and tent, and Magnaflow exhaust details further enhance the adventure-ready appearance.

Soft-compound General Grabber A/T X 1.55″ tires provide reliable trail grip and are mounted to Urbine beadlock wheels. The mechanical beadlock design securely holds the tires without glue and also makes future tire changes easier.
