Kyosho Mini-Z RWD MR-04 Mazda Savanna RX-7 SA22C 1979 Daytona No.77 Readyset – 32365R

The highly detailed factory-finished body recreates the Mazda Savanna RX-7 No.77 from the 1979 Daytona 24 Hours. In Mazda’s remarkable Daytona debut, the No.7 car won the GTU class while No.77 finished second, securing an impressive 1-2 result. The white body with bold red racing stripes gives the No.77 car its distinctive period motorsport appearance.

Under the body is Kyosho’s MR-04N-MM2 rear-wheel-drive chassis with a 94 mm wheelbase. Compared with the previous MR-03 generation, the MR-04 positions the batteries lower in the chassis, reducing the centre of gravity and improving cornering stability and straight-line handling.

This model uses the newer MZ719 front suspension, developed for zero-offset wheels. Revised front knuckles reduce scrub by 1.5 mm on each side compared with the MR-03, providing sharper and more linear steering response. The suspension dynamically adjusts camber throughout its movement to help maintain optimum tyre contact through corners.

At the rear, a T-bar suspension works together with a coil spring damper to absorb small surface irregularities and maintain stable handling. The standard rear damper can also be upgraded with optional Mini-Z performance parts.

A geared differential provides smooth cornering, while full ball bearings throughout the drivetrain help minimise rotational resistance. Power comes from a user-friendly 130-class brushed motor, providing manageable performance for both newcomers and experienced Mini-Z drivers.

The chassis is compatible with the optional MZW711 gyro unit, which can add electronic steering assistance for improved stability. Gyro sensitivity can be adjusted directly on the chassis according to the track and driver’s preference.

The included Syncro KT-531P 2.4GHz transmitter features steering and throttle trim, steering dual rate and Training Mode. Training Mode reduces vehicle speed, making the Mini-Z easier to control while learning.

The optional MZW429R LED light unit can also be installed when the Mazda Savanna RX-7 body is equipped with its open-type headlights.

This Readyset includes the factory-assembled MR-04 chassis, fully finished Mazda Savanna RX-7 No.77 body and Syncro KT-531P transmitter. Simply add the required AAA batteries to start driving.
