Kyosho Honda NSR500 1991 Hanging On Racer is a detailed 1:8 scale electric RC motorcycle kit combining realistic scale appearance with Kyosho’s unique leaning riding dynamics. Based on the legendary 1991 Honda NSR500 racing motorcycle, the model features a movable rider figure that leans its body and knee into the corner together with the bike. The result is an impressive and highly realistic riding appearance unlike a conventional RC car.
Kyosho’s S.D.S.S. (Semi Direct Steering System) controls the motorcycle by tilting the front fork, while the 13-joint rider figure moves together with the bike. When entering a corner, the rider shifts its body to the inside, extends the knee and turns its head towards the exit of the corner, creating an exceptionally realistic motorcycle riding motion.
Power comes from the included Kyosho Le Mans DM20 brushed motor. Drive is transferred to the rear wheel through a realistic chain and sprocket system. The chassis features an inverted front fork, asymmetric rear swingarm and mono-shock rear suspension. A metal third gear improves the durability of the drivetrain.
Detailed components including the frame, brake discs and calipers, wheels, chain drive and radiator reproduction give the model an authentic scale appearance. Side crash bars help support the motorcycle at low speeds and prevent excessive lean angles. A dedicated display stand is also included, allowing the Honda NSR500 to be displayed when not in use.
