Description
The legendary BMW M3 GT2 (2009) is back. Tamiya has re-issued one of its most iconic touring car kits in a Limited Production release, giving enthusiasts the opportunity to build a true GT racing legend with updated details for today’s hobbyists. While staying faithful to the original release, this special edition features refreshed decals, masking stickers, an updated instruction manual, and new packaging.
The aggressive styling of the BMW M3 GT2, famous from international GT endurance racing, is accurately reproduced with a highly detailed polycarbonate body. Its wide stance, large rear wing, and authentic racing livery make this model an outstanding choice for both driving and display.
Built on the proven TT-01 Type-E chassis, this shaft-driven 4WD platform is well known for its durability, easy maintenance, and predictable handling. The low center of gravity and balanced layout provide excellent stability, making it suitable for beginners while still offering plenty of upgrade potential for experienced hobbyists.
The kit includes a Tamiya Torque-Tuned motor and a Tamiya/Hobbywing electronic speed controller (ESC), allowing you to complete the build with fewer additional components.
As a Limited Production reissue, this model is expected to be available only for a limited time, making it an excellent addition for collectors, Tamiya enthusiasts, and anyone looking to own one of the brand’s most memorable touring car kits.
