Description

The Traxxas TRX-4 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT combines the classic styling of a 1979 American pickup truck with the proven trail capability of the TRX-4 platform. The officially licensed Ford Ranger XLT body features chrome bumpers and side trim, a detailed two-tone grille, side mirrors, door handles, windshield wipers, and clear windows for an authentic scale appearance.

Unlike many fully equipped Traxxas TRX-4 models, the F-150 92144-4 uses a simpler and lighter single-speed drivetrain with permanently locked front and rear axles. The reduced weight and lower center of gravity improve balance on technical terrain, while the locked axles provide constant traction to all four wheels.

TRX-4 portal axles provide 80 mm of center ground clearance while improving axle geometry and reducing driveshaft stress and torque twist. The extended 336 mm wheelbase adds stability on climbs and uneven terrain, while the 1.9″ Canyon Trail tires with soft S1 rubber compound provide dependable grip on rocks, dirt, roots, and forest trails.

Power comes from a durable Titan 550 21T brushed motor paired with the waterproof XL-5 HV electronic speed controller. The ESC supports 2S and 3S LiPo batteries as well as 6–7 cell NiMH packs and includes dedicated Trail and Crawl driving modes. Steering is handled by a waterproof Traxxas 2075X digital high-torque servo with metal gears.

The F-150 uses a clipless body mounting system that keeps the exterior clean and realistic while making body removal quick and easy. The headlights and tail lights are LED-ready, and the truck can be upgraded with the optional Traxxas Pro Scale LED lighting system.
