At the heart of the Traxxas X-Maxx sits the colossal Velineon 1200XL brushless Big Block motor, paired with the VXL-8s waterproof speed controller. This setup unleashes brutal 8S performance and pushes the truck to 50+ mph (80+ km/h) when running dual 4S LiPo batteries. With Traxxas Stability Management (TSM), the truck remains in control even under hard acceleration and on low-traction surfaces.

Built to survive the harshest driving conditions, the X-Maxx features reinforced chassis components, oversized steel and aluminum drivetrain parts, heavy-duty tie bars, and massive GTX aluminum shocks.
